DEGREE PROGRAMS
Program Description
The BBA program is housed in the School of Business, and the degree integrates business studies and computer information systems. Students learn to improve processes and decisions within organizations using data and computer technology. In addition to general education courses, students will also receive cutting-edge instruction from the School of Business and the School of Computer Science and Information Systems. Students will also be required to take a Six Sigma practicum course (ENGR 400 Practicum 6 credit hours) from the School of Engineering as their capstone. The BBA is designed as a four-year program but can be completed in as early as three years.
Admission Requirements
Students must have a high school diploma or secondary school certificate and a command of the English Language. Applicants who need to improve their English may enroll in the 8-week English Language Certificate program.
Program Courses
The BBA degree requires a minimum total of 120 approved credit hours. Except for the practicum course, which is 6 credit hours, all BBA courses are 3 credit-hour courses. Unless indicated, all courses are 5 weeks long. The BBA is broken into three phases: Discovery, Journey, and Empowerment. All courses required for the 120 credit hours BBA degree are listed below.
Program Description
Graduates of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Sustainable Business Leadership will develop business management skills while focusing on leading through holistic, sustainable, and responsible fiscal, environmental, and societal practices. Guided by our Ubuntu philosophy, graduates will understand and be cognizant of the impact of an organization’s profit motive on communities and the environment, and the role that astute leadership may play to the benefit of the organization, the community, and the environment. Graduates will develop and sharpen the leadership skills essential to create change and to achieve local and global impact. The practicum course of the MBA program is designed to prepare students to pursue a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
Admission Requirements
Students must have a bachelor's degree and a command of the English Language.
Program Courses
Completing the MBA degree program requires taking 30 credit hours of course work including six (6) credit hours of a research thesis. The MBA is comprised of a set of required graduate courses and two areas of concentration: (i) Business Strategy and (ii) Leading with Accounting and Finance. As a bonus, students will automatically earn a Certificate in Business Strategy and a Certificate in Leading with Accounting and Finance on their journey toward completing their MBA. With the exception of BUSA 500 and BUSA 580, which are 6 credits each and 8 weeks long, all the program courses are 3 credits and 5 weeks long. The MBA is designed as a two-year program but can be completed in one year, as shown below.
The Ph.D. program is designed for scholars who are excited to tackle business challenges through research and critical inquiry. Students will be challenged to propose solutions and discuss the ramifications and the pros and cons of their solutions to societal business problems. Furthermore, doctoral students will explore and adapt the Ubuntu philosophy to selected contemporary business challenges while developing strong research skills.
Students should have assembled their dissertation committee and have a working title for their dissertation after 18 months in the program. Between 24 and 27 months in the Ph.D. program, students are expected to present their research proposal to their committee. Between 32 and 35 months, students are expected to present their research for consideration for Candidacy. After 44 months, students may defend their dissertation. Students must have at least three journal articles already published or under peer review at reputable journals in order to be awarded a doctorate degree. Faculty members work very closely with students to ensure they meet this research publication requirement.
Admission Requirements
Students must have a bachelor's or master’s degree from an accredited university and a command of the English Language. Students must demonstrate a strong appetite for innovative business research and teaching. There will be a live Zoom interview conducted by at least three (3) faculty members from the School of Business prior to admission into the Ph.D. program.
Program Courses
Completing a Ph.D. in Business Administration requires taking fourteen (14) 3-credit graduate courses plus graduate seminars and doctoral dissertation courses. The Ph.D. program is designed as a five-year program but can be completed within three years, as shown below.

DISCOVERY (Year 1)
Discovery is the first year. It is a time of reflection and self-discovery. Students uncover their passions, learn by self-exploration, and give strength to their values. Students develop confidence and position themselves to make unique contributions in their organizations and communities. By the end of Discovery, students would have established themselves as a community of learners to continue their journey toward empowerment.

JOURNEY (Year 2)
Journey is the second year and represents a period of the student’s continued growth with their community of learners. This involves growing integrity and learning to lead within their organizations and communities. Learners offer their unique experiences in a dynamic interactive environment. They learn “followership,” which is facilitated by working closely with instructors and professional mentors as they begin working on outlining their final year projects. Towards the end of Journey, learners become leaders as they transition into their final years.

EMPOWERMENT (Years 3 and 4)
Empowerment is the last phase of the undergraduate degree (third and fourth) years at Osiri University. During this phase, students continue experiential learning, where they develop entrepreneurship skills. Students begin to feel empowered as apply their knowledge and talents through practical projects based on real-world scenarios within an organization or community.
