Welcome to Osiri University! We are rethinking quality education in Africa and around the world and making it accessible, affordable and applicable.
means that anyone, including people in remote areas or with poor internet connectivity should still be able to learn from you if they meet our minimum admission requirement.
means that quality education should not be reserved for society’s elite. Anyone who wants to learn should not be priced out of being educated, and those who cannot afford tuition, should be admitted on a scholarship. We are in the business of training leaders who will transform our society.
means that what students are learning must be relevant to them. It should be useful knowledge that will enhance their confidence, give them a sense of identity, and arm them with the tools they need to act purposefully as change agents. We teach for mastery. So, motivate students to master the course material and to develop their skills and talent.
You are not an ordinary teacher. You are a change agent. You are saving nations; you are serving the under-served, and inspiring confidence in a generation that has lost hope. Afrikan people around the world are lions acting like sheep. They are doves behaving like scorpions. They have lost their way; they are without identity, and you are awakening them to their true self. Indeed, you are helping people unleash their full potential.
We had an overwhelming response when we opened for instructors in the first two months of operation. Those who join Osiri University at this early stage would reap the most benefit compared to those who would join later. Our model is to empower you to inspire and impact knowledge. We will provide you the support and training you need to create and teach an impactful course. In exchange, you will receive 20% of the gross tuition if you design and teach the course by yourself. If two people design and teach a course together, they will receive a total of 20% of the gross tuition because we want to encourage collaboration. These terms are exclusive to those who are joining us in this round. We do not follow the semester calendar, so courses can be offered multiple times in one year. This agreement is assumed for each and any course and is subject to revision. Instructors are paid after the course is complete as payment is based on students who actually paid for and completed their courses without refunds or deferring. In addition to teaching and designing courses, instructors are expected to contribute to the welfare of the University and students through committees and extracurricular activities and to the intellectual knowledge of their field through research and service. We call our Instructors "Malamai", which is the word for teacher (Malami for singular) in an African language. We expect each Malami to abide by the Osiri University Malami Handbook. Once you agree to these terms, you will receive a course template so you can start developing a course.
