ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Admission to the Ph.D. in Business Innovation requires a bachelor’s (or an equivalent) or master’s degree and proficiency in English. We welcome applicants from all academic and professional backgrounds who are passionate about creating real-world impact through research and innovation. Our focus is on empowering diverse thinkers to become change-makers in business and society. PhD students have the opportunity to earn a master’s degree during their program at no additional cost. Osiri University will accept up to 15 credits (approximately five graduate courses) previously taken at other universities towards a doctorate degree. Exemptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.

To begin the enrollment process, please upload a copy of your bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent qualification, such as an HND) or an unofficial transcript, along with the administrative fee. After starting classes, ensure that official transcripts are sent to the Registrar via email at [email protected], or mailed to The Registrar, 2737 N. 49th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska, USA, 68504, directly from your former institution.

You will also benefit from other scholars who come from different backgrounds and approach research design and thinking in unique ways.

Elective Courses
-Take six 3-credit, 500-level courses from different fields of interest.
-You can earn a master’s degree at no additional cost by taking the elective courses in one field. For example, if you take six courses that count towards the MBA as your elective courses plus BICE 500 Project-Based Experiential Course, then you will earn an MBA before your PhD.

Seminar and Dissertation Courses (No Limit)
BICE 807 Doctoral Seminar (3 credits minimum) (taken after required and elective courses)
BICE 808 Doctoral Dissertation (3 credits minimum) (taken after required and elective courses)

Program Structure
Discovery (First Year): Begin taking required and elective courses
Journey (Second Year): Start teaching or assisting in teaching, complete coursework, and defend proposal by the end of year.
Mastery (Third Year) and Beyond: Commence independent research and writing dissertation.
