Course Description
The purpose of this course is to provide an introduction to the process of professional screenwriting. Throughout the term of this course, we will engage in the vocabulary and nuances of the screenwriting process. Students will learn basic formatting as well as the dynamics of the production process. Students enrolled in this course will learn all they need to start writing their own screenplays as well as map out a production budget and schedule.

- Understand character typologies and their importance to screenwriting
- Learn the anatomy and rhythm of a screenplay
- Demonstrate an ability to conduct academic research using qualitative methods
